We are now looking for an ambitious and hands-on Back-End & Data Engineer intern to join our team and build with us the Operating System that will help cities and transportation services thrive in the mobility revolution. As a Back-End & Data Engineer you will be responsible for building and maintaining optimized and highly available data pipelines, that are at the heart of Vianova mobility data platform. Your skills will be precious in shaping the way cities, transportation services, OEMs, infrastructure owners and other businesses exchange mobility data seamlessly.
Develop in Python the Back-End mobility intelligence of the Vianova platform
Integrate and handle geo-spatial datasets, and combine them with mobility analytics
Support the development of public APIs to be shared with mobility operators and cities, containing mobility and compliance metrics
Develop mobility data APIs and actively participate in the online community driving them forwards
Write Big Data, streaming pipelines to handle billions of real time IoT mobility samples per day, and apply ML/AI to automatically extract insights for cities and operators

Ongoing degree in Computer Sciences from leading engineering or coding school
Mandatory development experience in Python (previous internship or personal work) — Preferred knowledge of RESTful and JSON APIs development in Python (FastAPI)
Knowledge of relational and non-relational database management (Snowflake, DBT, PostgreSQL) — Recommended experience with large data set manipulation & data mining
Capacity to setup/deploy new features with modern CI/CD and deployment tool chain by adopting state of the art version control and release management
Preferred previous experience with cloud deployment of web services and integration of 3rd party APIs — Knowledge of data ingestion and serverless architecture (Cloud Functions, Lambda, Pub/Sub)
Strong analytical reasoning and algorithmic skills for interpreting mobility and geo data
Problem solving oriented, enthusiastic to work on strong technical challenges
