Job Description

✍️ The Role

We are now looking for an ambitious and hands-on DevOps Engineer to join our team and build with us the Operating System that will help cities and transportation services thrive in the mobility revolution. As a DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for building and maintaining optimized and highly available data pipelines, that are at the heart of Vianova mobility data platform. Your skills will be precious in shaping the way cities, transportation services, OEMs, infrastructure owners and other businesses exchange mobility data seamlessly.

🎯 What You’ll Do

  • Maintain and improve our CI/CD pipelines

  • Manage our platform with Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi)

  • Integrate and handle geo-spatial datasets, and combine them with mobility analytics

  • Develop strategies to reduce processing time on the Vianova platform

  • Apply and implement robust DevOps workflows

  • Develop in Python the Back-End mobility intelligence of the Vianova platform

  • Develop mobility data APIs and actively participate in the online community driving them forwards

  • Write Big Data, streaming pipelines to handle billions of real time IoT mobility samples per day, and apply ML/AI to automatically extract insights for cities and operators

  • Lead the development of public APIs to be shared with mobility operators and cities, containing mobility and compliance metrics

Preferred Experience

🧠 Background & Expertise

  • Degree in Computer Sciences, related technical field or equivalent practical experience

  • Mandatory development experience in Python (previous job or personal work) β€” Preferred knowledge of RESTful and JSON APIs development in Python (FastAPI)

  • Mandatory experience with IaaS and PaaS pipelines in modern cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)

  • Knowledge of relational and non-relational database management (Snowflake, DBT, PostgreSQL) β€” Recommended experience with large data set manipulation & data mining

  • Full capacity to setup/deploy new features with modern CI/CD and deployment tool chain by adopting state of the art version control and release management

  • Required previous experience with cloud deployment of web services and integration of 3rd party APIs β€” Knowledge of data ingestion and serverless architecture (Cloud Functions, Lambda, Pub/Sub)

  • Strong analytical reasoning and algorithmic skills for interpreting mobility and geo data

  • Problem solving oriented, enthusiastic to work on strong technical challenges
